Run web searches and browser tasks with Operator
An early-access user tested Operator opening a browser and searching the web, and reported how well it handled web tasks.
What they did
The poster gave Operator a concrete browser task on its website: find 50 popular finance YouTubers, collect LinkedIn details, emails, and short channel summaries, and put everything into a table. Operator opened a browser, searched Bing, visited pages, and tried to use online spreadsheet tools on its own; the user mainly watched, and only stepped in after about 20 minutes to stop it.
How it went
It produced only 18 influencers after 20 minutes, and the author says the LinkedIn details and email addresses it returned were invented. The reviewer found the browser actions very slow and said it failed to ask for help when sign-in would have saved time.
Worth knowing
The biggest catch was speed and reliability: the author says they could have done the same research themselves in about 15 minutes with fewer mistakes.
